Member’s Statement Fracking Commission Terms of Reference
Mr. Speaker, the Terms of Reference for the Fracking Commission tabled by the Minister of Energy in this House yesterday are as barren of content as the Minister of Environment’s Mandate Letter. This leaves the Commissioners to make it up as they go along unless the Minster actually provided them with direction that he has chosen not to release to the Members of this House and the public at large. Mr. Speaker, we still have no information on what the Fracking Commission is supposed to do or what kind of budget it has to work with. How are New Brunswickers to have confidence in its work? Thank you Mr. Speaker.
