World Water Day

New Brunswick is truly a water province, with our beautiful rivers and plentiful wetlands, surrounded by ocean waters on three coasts. All the same, we lack legally-binding water quality standards to protect our waters from pollution. We need to Stand Up for clean water. It’s our responsibility – to our children and our
grandchildren.

The provincial government is developing a water strategy for our province, to which I urge all New Brunswickers to contribute. At the same time, we need to build a new green economy that is respectful of water.

Oil and water don’t mix. Making the transition to green energy not only will
shrink our carbon footprint, but it will safeguard our water too. I’m asking you
today to let the Premier know that is time to build a new green economy that respects both our water and our climate.

I’m also asking you to join the Green Party of NB and to support me.
