Caring for the Poor
Claude Snow was awarded the Order of New Brunswick in 2014 and appointed to the Order of Canada in 2017 in recognition of his work on behalf of New Brunswickers most in need. He has worked tirelessly for the most vulnerable in New Brunswick as a social worker and advocate for almost 50 years, advocating not only for their basic needs, but also for their dignity. He reminds us that we must treat all people, especially the underprivileged, with fairness, dignity, and humanity. He has shone a light on the ways in which our system fails, again and again, to do this.
