Member’s Statement: EUB Investigation
Mr. Speaker, the Energy and Utilities Board has launched an investigation to determine whether Irving Oil has been systematically charging commercial oil customers at rates higher than the regulated price or simply been making occasional billing errors with a handful of customers. Either way the Department of Education paid Irving $4,286,763 for energy in 2013-2014. Someone should be checking to see if this sum represented regulated prices. Thank you, Mr. Speaker.
