BILL 10 An Act to Amend the Elections ActHer Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:
1 Paragraph 20.9(1)(a) of the Elections Act, chapter E-3 of the Revised Statutes, 1973, is amended by striking out “eighteen” and substituting “sixteen.”
2 Paragraph 43(1)(a) of the Act is amended by striking out “eighteen” and substituting “sixteen.”
3 The Act is amended by adding after section 48.2 the following: 48.3 No person is eligible to be a candidate or capable of being elected as a member of the Legislative Assembly unless the person has attained the full age of eighteen years.
