The psychiatrist shortage in our province might actually see some improvement
Fredericton and the Upper River Valley area is desperately short of psychiatrists.The problem is that there are no billing numbers left to hire psychiatrists. The system is bursting at the seams and people are needlessly suffering.
There is good news. In his answer, the minister actually said the government will be increasing billing numbers and that the health networks will decide where to allocate them.
